Sri Muralidaradass Satsang, Kovoor celebrated its 8th year Gokulashtami on 28th August 2010 in a grand manner. About 150 children and elders were blessed to take part in the celebrations. Children from Ambathur Kendra were taking the whole stage and pleasing Lord Krishna with Guru keerthans and Krishna keerthans, for which, Avadi Kendra children were playing dance and the place was almost like Vrindavan where, Lord Krishna would have enjoyed the play of “Gopikas” on those days.

The programme started at 6.30 PM with namakeerthan by children of Kovoor Kendra and went up to 8.45 PM. Prasadams were distributed to all the devotees. The celebrations were held at Sri Karunakara Perumal temple at Kovoor, where regular nama chanting is going on for the last 8 years. Sri Kovoor Shanmugham and Sri Sivakumar of Avadi Kendra coordinated for these celebrations.

What better day can there be to salute the Nation – the holy land of Bhaarat which has nourished numerous Mahatmas? What better day can there be to remember the Father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, who broke down the fetters of slavery and brought us freedom through the chanting of the Divine Name ‘Rama’?

And what better day can there be to recognize and appreciate all those selfless volunteers who take the Divine Name to the masses at the behest of our Guru Maharaj?

Aptly enough, GOD India Trust, organized an Independence Day satsang in the divine presence of Sri Sri Swamiji at Mahodaya Hall in Ashok Nagar, Chennai on August 15th, 2010 between 10 am and 12:30 pm.

All the Namadwaar coordinators from in and around Chennai and those who regularly chant and take the Divine Names to the masses were part of the function. After the welcome address, Sri Sri Swamiji gave an ‘Anugraha Bhaashanam’. Following this, Sri Sri Swamiji gave gifts to all the Nama Prachar volunteers and coordinators recognizing their service in chanting the Mahamantra themselves and taking it down to the masses.

A short Q&A session was organized, which saw enthusiastic participation from the audience.

Then Sri Sri Swamiji blessed all the attendees with Kumkum Prasad. The function came to a close with the entire gathering paying respects to the Nation singing the National Anthem.

With the divine blessings of Sri Sri Swamiji, Hare rama Akhandanama sankirtaan was performed at Ambattur, Chennai, on 8th August 2010 between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm. More than 150 devotees participated in the chanting. Smt, Hema, Smt. Bala Sivakumar, Smt Gunavathi and Sri Kovvur Shanmugham had coordinated for this event.

At around 3.30 pm, all the devotees sang Sri Sri Swamiji’s kirtan “Kaliyayum Balikollum…” for which little children from the satsang danced around Lord Krishna. Then Sri Vasantharajan of GOD India, spoke on Nama Mahimai and Guru Mahimai for around 25 minutes. The event came to a close with distribution of prasadam to all the devotees.

On the 7th of August 2010, at around 8.00 pm Namadwaar Malaysia welcomed brothers and sisters from GOD Singapore for a very special satsang session. The event kicked off with everyone chanting the Mahamantra Kirtan led by Sri Balaramji from Singapore. It lasted for approximately half an hour.

After a spirited Maha Mantra chanting session, Premalathaji, on behalf of Namadwaar Malaysia, gave a welcome speech which included a thorough explanation of how Namadwaar Malaysia came about. She also expounded upon the activities carried out by this centre as well as the effort put in by the members to achieve the vision of our beloved Swamiji.

This was followed by Rajeswaryji introducing all the Malaysia Satsang members. She then requested everyone to share their anubhava. Srimathi Uma Bala (Uma Mamiji) was the first to share her anubhava, followed by Mr & Mrs Rajaramji. Rajeswaryji’s mother & her son Kughan were the next to do so. They all shared their anubhava as to how chanting the Maha Mantra brought about positive changes in their lives. This sharing session concluded with Srimathi Vijiji’s experience.

Sri Balaramaji then performed aarthi to the Holy Padukas of Sri Swamiji. Srimathi Uma Bala on behalf of GOD Singapore presented a cash gift to Namadwaar Malaysia. Prasadham was then served to all the devotees who took the opportunity to mingle and share more experiences with one another.

The event concluded at 10.00 pm. It was indeed a joyful event as the vibration felt during the mass chanting truly created a feeling of ecstasy and bliss in everyone’s hearts.

Now, the members of Namadwaar Malaysia are planning to make a trip to Singapore in the near future to ensure that such joyous events will be continuous.
