With the abundant blessings of our Sri Sri Swamiji, Gokulashtami was celebrated on 1st September, 2010 at Annanagar Namadwaar between 11.00 am to 12.30 pm. The celebrations included thirumanjanam for Lord Krishna, early in the morning by Shi Raja, our Namadwaar in charge there. This was followed by satasangh members reading Naalyira divya prabandam, Srimad Bhagavatham, Vishnu Sahasranamam and singing guru keerthanais.
More than 35 devotees participated and prasadam was distributed to all of them..
With the blessings of Sri Sri Swamiji, Gokulashtami was celebrated in a grand manner at Periyakulam Namadwaar between 25th August 2010 and 1st September 2010. Between 25th August and 31st August 2010, Sri Krishna Chaitanyadass, our Periyakulam Namadwaar in charge spoke on Sri Krishna Leelas.
On 1st September 2010, the day of Gokulashtami, special poojas were done at the Namadwaar. Hare Rama Akhandanama was done between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm at the Namadwaar. More than 50 people participated in the akhandanama.
In between, a fancy dress competition was organized at Sri Sringeri Mandapam, near the Namadwaar. More than 150 children participated in this competition wearing costumes of Lord Krishna, Radhe, Anjaneyar etc., More than 500 devotees attended this event.
Annadanam was organized for all the devotees at the Mandapam by Sri Govinda Thondaman family and Kumkum prasadam was given to all the devotees.
Gokulashtami was celebrated in a grand way at Tiruchi Namadwaar on 31st August and 1stSeptember 2010..
On 31st August 2010 evening, many contests was arranged for children who visit the Namadwaar, which included Lord Krishna photo colouring, Mahamantra chanting competition for LKG and UKG students, recital of Sri Sri Swamiji’s kirtans, storytelling, question and answer sessions etc., More than 50 children participated in these events. The children were given prizes by Sri Jayaraman, who is the owner of the Namadwaar premises as well as the sponsor.
On 1st September 2010, the celebrations were between 5.00 pm and 9.00 pm. Between 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm, Padhuka thirumanjanam was done by Sri Bhagavathadas, who is in charge of the Tiruchi Namadwaar. After this, the devotees went on a procession taking the decorated photo of Lord Premika Varadan around the streets surrounding the Namadwaar. After the procession, the Lord was put on a cradle and 70 types of prasadams were offered to Him. Small children danced with kollattam sticks around the cradle. After 8.00 pm, prasadam was distributed to all the devotees. More than 200 devotees took part in the festivities.
With the divine blessing of Sri Sri Swamiji, Gokulashtami was celebrated in a grand manner at Sivakasi Namadwaar on 1st of September 2010. The celebrations started with akhandanama in the morning. Lord Premika Varadan was offered Pongal as prasadam in the morning. At around 10.00 am, Padhuka thirumanjanam was done by Smt Bhavani Akka, who is the in charge of Namadwaar there. At 12.00 noon, Sri Krishnan Jananam portion was read from Srimad Bhagavatham by the devotees. After this, the devotees were treated with a sumptuous feast.
In the evening, around 5.00 pm, Lord Krishna was put in a cradle and devotees chanted Hare Rama and danced around the cradle having Kolattam sticks in hand. 54 types of dishes were offered to the Lord. Children had come dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha as part of celebrations. Lots of small children participated with great involvement. All the children were given prizes.
From morning till 9.00 pm in the night, lots of Prasadams came in for the Lord. More than 800 devotees participated in the celebrations and were struck in awe, the way the celebrations went.
Trichy Namadwaar, organized a coordinator meet in the divine presence of Sri Sri Swamiji at Ramanujar Koodam, Amma Mandapam Road in Srirangam, Tiruchi on 30th August, 2010 between 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm. All the Namadwaar coordinators and the people regularly chanting the divine name within the proximity of Trichy were part of this function.
The program started with a prayer song at 5:30 pm. After the welcome address by Sri Bhagavatha Das, care taker of Trichy Namadwaar, few local devotees, with resolute voice, shared their experiences and benefits they gained in their life through Mahamantra Kirtan which lead them into purification of mind and better understanding of the subtle and profound power of Sri Sri Swamiji’s grace.
Then Sri Sri Swamiji gave a wonderful discourse on the serenity of Srirangam and the power of Mahamantra.
Subsequently, Sri Sri Swamiji blessed all the Nama Prachar volunteers and coordinators by presenting a gift as a token of recognizing their noble service in chanting the Mahamantra and spreading the power of Namakirtan to the surrounding villages. Also Sri Sri Swamiji blessed all the attendees with Kumkum Prasad. The program concluded with prasadam distribution to all devotees.
Paranur Mahatma Sri Sri Krishna Premi Maharaj visited and blessed Ernakulam Namadwaar by His presence and pravachanam on 15th August 2010. About 200 devotees were recipients of Guru Krupa on this auspicious day.
On the 6th of August 2010, Sunithaji and Rajeswaryji of GOD Satsang KL gave a motivational talk at the Castlefield Tamil Primary School. The principal very accommodative as she allowed the students to chant the Maha Mantra before the session began.
Rajeswaryji started the session by explaining how GOD Namadwaar came into existence and how the movement has spread throughout India and now, in Malaysia.
This was followed by Sunithaji, who gave a talk on examination preparation and tips. The session ended with the principal presenting a memento and a certificate of appreciation.
The principal then requested for another session to be held on the 13th of August 2010 for about 300 students.
On that appointed day both Rajeswaryji and Sunithaji visited the school again. This time the teachers and students shared their experiences of chanting the Maha Mantra.The principal said that playing the CD on Nama Sankirtan by Sri Sri Swamiji was first in order before beginning the lessons for the day. They also sang the Maha Mantra at every school assembly.
Both Rajeswaryji and Sunithaji were overjoyed by the response of the teachers and students and they attribute this whole experience to the grace of Sri Sri Swamiji. They then distributed Maha Mantra stickers to the students and Sri Sri Swamji CDs to the teachers.
They also shared the experiences of other students as in how chanting the Maha Mantra combined with studying hard helped them excel in their studies.
The session ended with the principal extending an invitation to make this a regular event.
The session ended with prayers and chanting the Maha Mantra.
On the 7th of August 2010, at around 8.00 pm Namadwaar Malaysia welcomed brothers and sisters from GOD Singapore for a very special satsang session. The event kicked off with everyone chanting the Mahamantra Kirtan led by Sri Balaramji from Singapore. It lasted for approximately half an hour.
After a spirited Maha Mantra chanting session, Premalathaji, on behalf of Namadwaar Malaysia, gave a welcome speech which included a thorough explanation of how Namadwaar Malaysia came about. She also expounded upon the activities carried out by this centre as well as the effort put in by the members to achieve the vision of our beloved Swamiji.
This was followed by Rajeswaryji introducing all the Malaysia Satsang members. She then requested everyone to share their anubhava. Srimathi Uma Bala (Uma Mamiji) was the first to share her anubhava, followed by Mr & Mrs Rajaramji. Rajeswaryji’s mother & her son Kughan were the next to do so. They all shared their anubhava as to how chanting the Maha Mantra brought about positive changes in their lives. This sharing session concluded with Srimathi Vijiji’s experience.
Sri Balaramaji then performed aarthi to the Holy Padukas of Sri Swamiji. Srimathi Uma Bala on behalf of GOD Singapore presented a cash gift to Namadwaar Malaysia. Prasadham was then served to all the devotees who took the opportunity to mingle and share more experiences with one another.
The event concluded at 10.00 pm. It was indeed a joyful event as the vibration felt during the mass chanting truly created a feeling of ecstasy and bliss in everyone’s hearts.
Now, the members of Namadwaar Malaysia are planning to make a trip to Singapore in the near future to ensure that such joyous events will be continuous.
With Sri Sri Swamiji’s abundant blessings, a NAMA SAPTHAHAM has been started from Sunday, the 25th July 2010 at the Nama Dwaar in Anna Nagar West, Chennai. The NAMA SAPTHAHAM beginning coincided with Guru Poornima celebrations.
Satsanghites in and around the neighbourhood brought in their friends and relatives to joyfully participate in this nama chanting between 9.30 a.m to 12.30 p.m in the morning and 2.30p.m to 5.30 p.m in the evening.
On the inaugral day, Nama was followed by a speech for 30 minutes on Guru mahima in the morning session and 40 minutes rendering of Guru’s songs by Ms.Anu. Around 40 members participated.
