Hare Rama Nagarasankirtan was organized at Mukkudal village in Tirunelveli district on 28th March 2010. This place is around 15 kms from Ambasamudram. The nagarasankirtan started from the local temple at around 8.00 in the morning and was done for around 45 minutes by going through some of the main streets of the village.
Around 40 devotees from in and around the village as well as Ambasamudram Namadwaar participated in the Nagarasankirtan. This event was organized by Sri Ramanan of Ambasamudram Namadwaar.
Hare rama is being chanted at Sri Krishnan Koil, Ambasamudram for the last 6 years. As part of anniversary celebrations, Hare Rama Akhandanama was organised at the temple on 27th March 2010 between 6.00 am and 6.00 pm. More than 120 devotees of the satsang at Ambasamudram participated in the Akhandanama with great devotion and enthusiasm.
Immediately after the akhandanama was over, some children who regularly come to the satsang sang Sri Sri Swamiji’s kirtan for around 30 minutes. Then, Sri Sankaranarayanan of the local satsang spoke for around 45 minutes on “Guru Mahimai”. He spoke very excellently about the importance of a Guru in everyone’s life. It was a wonderful experience for all who participated in the anniversary celebrations.
Devotees and children from Kalsundu Colony, Vasudevanallur, V K Puram, Ravanasamudram etc., also participated in the celebrations. Sri Ramanan, coordinator of Ambasamudram Namadwaar organised for this celebrations. Prasadams were arranged for all the participants in the afternoon as well as evening.
Sri Vasanth and Sri Hariharan of GOD India, Chennai visited Ambasamudram Namadwaar on 12th and 13th of December 2009 and participated in satsangs around there.
on 12th December 2009, being an Ekadasi day, Hare Rama Akhandanama was organized at the Namadwaar between 6.00 am to 6.00 pm. More than 50 devotees participated in the chanting. Annadanam was organized at the Namadwaar for all the participants.
In the evening, Sri Vasanth and Sri Raja of Ambasamudram satsang participated in a satsang at Sri Sundara Paripurana Perumal temple at Valliyur. More than 40 devotees participated in the satsang. Nama was chanted for around 15 minutes. Then Sri Vasanth spoke on Nama Mahimai for around 30 minutes. The satsang concluded with Nama chanting for around 15 minutes. This satsang was organized very well by Sri Shankar of Valliyur satsang.
Sri Hariharan gave a lecture on Nama Mahimai for 20 minutes at the Namadwaar and also participated at a satsang conducted at the residence of a devotee.
on 13th December 2009, being the Aradhana day of Sri Kanchi Maha Periyaval, another Akhandanama was organized between 6.00 am and 6.00 pm at the Namadwaar. Around 40 devotees participated in the chanting. Annadanam was organized for all the devotees in the afternoon.
Sri Vasanth and Sri Hariharan participated at satsangs in Edaikal and Pudukkudi villages. At Edaikal, Nama was chanted at the local Bhajanai Mandapam. Around 20 people participated in the chanting. Sri Vasanth and Sri Hariharan spoke on Guru Mahimai and Nama Mahimai respectively. The people there were very responsive and chanted with great devotion. They assured to have regular Nama chanting at their temple on all Saturdays between 6.00 pm to 6.30 pm.
At Puddukudi village, around 25 children had assembled at the local temple for Nama chanting. All the children chanted Nama with great devotion. The children were given chocolates after the Nama chanting was over.
Akhandanamas are regularly conducted at our Ambasamudram Namadwaar. As part of Sri Sri Swamiji’s Jayanthi celebrations, Hare Rama Akhandanama was conducted on 15th November 2009 between 6.00 am to 6.00 pm at the Namadwaar premises.
Annadanam was organized for all the devotees. In the evening, some of the devotees shared their experiences on how Nama chanting has helped them in their lives. More than 400 devotees took part in the celebrations.

Sri Ramachandran and Vasanth of GOD India participated in the satsangs at Ambasamudram Namadwaar on 11th October 2009. Nagara sankirtan was done around the streets surrounding the Namadwaar. There were more than 15 devotees who participated in the nagara sankiran between 7.00 am and 7.45 am.
A nagara sankirtan was arranged at a village called Pallakal Pudukudi, which is around 7 kms from Ambai Namadwaar. The nagara sankirtan was between 9.00 am and 10.00 am. More than 40 children had participated in the nagara sankirtan along with some elders. The nagara sankirtan started from Sri Vinayagar temple which is at the centre of the village. Almost all the streets in the village were covered and there was a good response.
After the nagara sankirtan, Sri Ramachandran told a short story to the children, which was well received. Then all the children were given some chocolates as Prasadam. This nagara sankirtan was organized by Sri Ramanan, the Namadwaar in charge along with Sri Anand of Pallakal Pudukudi.
GOD Namadwaar Ambai arranged for a grand celebration marking the 1st anniversary of Ambai Namadwaar featuring Akhanda nama, Bhagavatha saptaham and Radha Kalyanam. This was coordinated by the Namadwaar In charge Sri Ramanan.
Akhanda Mahamantra kirtan was arranged during the preceding week of the Bhagavatham saptaham in the premises of Shri Krishnaswamy temple at Ambasamudram. Many people participated in the Akhandanama and chanted Mahamantra with joy and devotion.
Sri Balaji of our satsang lectured on Srimad Bhagavatham from 05.06.09 to 11.06.09 everyday in the evening from 7.00pm -9.00 pm at the premises of Shri Krishnaswamy temple where the Bhagavata moola parayanam was also done everyday in the morning by Sri Balaji and a few other satsang devotees. Sri Subramaniam of Ambika Coffee, Tirunelveli, out his immense love for Sri Swamiji and Srimad Bhagavatham, actively participated in the parayanam and had arranged for two other bhagavathars from Trivandram to do the parayanam.
Sri Balaji’s lecture depicting the essence of Bhakti and Nama through the charitras of great bhaktas depicted in Bhagavatham lured many people. More than 150 people attended the lectures with great fervor.
On 05.06.09, Sri Swamiji went to Ambai Namadwaar and blessed all the devotees gathered there for his darshan and appreciated their unflinching interest on Mahamantra.
The celebrations ended with a grand Radha kalyanam at Ambai Namadwaar. Sri Balaji along with a few other Bhagavathas around Ambai conducted the Radha Kalyanam. The Ashtapathi Bhajan started on 12.06.09 in the morning and a grand Divyanama Bhajanai was done in the night. On the next day of kalyanam, Premika Varadhan and Sri Sri Swamiji’s photos were beautifully decorated with flowers.The entire Namadwaar wore a festive look with a beautiful thorana vayil in front welcoming everybody for this graceful occasion. Bhagavathas did Unchavrithi bhajana and then the the Radha kalyanam started around 9.00 am. It was a treat listening to the Bhagavathas rendering the Radha kalyanotsava krithis. More than 100 people gathered at our Namadwaar with great devotion. The kalyana utsavam ended with a scintillating Mahamantra chanting which moved everybody over there.
Sri.Ramanan, the in-charge of our Ambai Namadwaar beautifully organized and coordinated all the events. Due credits should also be given to a few local satsang members like Sri Raja, Sri Sankaran, Sri Sriram who were a great support in conducting these events.
Satsang was organized at some places in and around Ambasamudram. On 13th December 2008, Sri Srikanth of our Chennai Satsang had been to Radhapuram, a place in between Valliyur and Tiruchendur along with one devotee from Ambasamudram Namadwaar. This is the first time that Nama Sankirtan is being conducted at that place. On that day, the deity in the temple was taken in a procession and hence there was a considerable number of devotees at the local temple. There were around 50 devotees at that time. Mahamantra was chanted for 15 minutes. Nama was also chanted when the deity was taken in a procession around the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. After this, Sri Srikanth of Chennai Satsang gave a small lecture on the importance of chanting the Mahamantra. There was a good response from the devotees and they have agreed to have Nama Sankirtan at their temple on all Saturdays henceforth. This program was arranged through one of the devotees of Ambasamudram Namadwaar.
Sri Ramanan, coordinator at the Ambasamudram Namadwaar along with one other devotee had visited Valliyur on 13th December 2008. People there were interested in starting Satsang at their place. Satsang was organized at one of the devotee’s house there. There were around 25 participants and they have agreed to chant Nama atleast once a week.
Sri Vasantharajan of Chennai Satsang had visited Pappankulam, a small place around 15 kms from Ambasamudram on 13th December 2008. Sri Mayandi of Kalsundu Colony, a place near Ambasamudram, accompanied him. Nagara Sankirtan was arranged at Pappankulam. There were more than 75 children and 5 elders who had participated in the Nagara Sankirtan. The Nagara Sankirtan started from Sri Ramaswamy temple, which is at the center of the village. The devotees went through some of the main streets in the village and culminated at the temple again. The children chanted Nama very enthusiastically. The program came to an end with a grand “Maha Aarathi” to the Lord amidst chanting of Mahamantra and distribution of “Prasadam” to all the devotees. This program was arranged by Smt. Chellamal Varadarajan of Ravanasamudram Satsang.
After this, Sri Vasantharajan visited Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple at Azhwarkurichi, where a new Satsang was recently started. Devotees there chant Mahamantra at the temple on all Sundays. There were around 15 devotees at the temple. Nama was chanted for sometime and Sri Vasantharajan gave a short lecture on the importance of Nama and the origin of Mahamantra to the devotees. Smt Chellamal Varadarajan of Ravanasamudram Satsang was instrumental in organizing the program here.
On 14th December 2008, Nagara Sankirtan was done at two places
On 19th July, 2008, a Nagara sankirtan was done at Ravanasamudram, a village situated around 15 kms from Ambasamudram town between 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm. The Nagara sankirtan started from the residence of Smt Chellamal Varadarajan. More than 75 devotees participated in this Nagara sankirtan, which included many children. Lord Premika Varadan’s photo was taken in a procession through the main streets of the village. The Nagara Sankirtan culminated at Senaiyar Thirumana Koodam, where a mass prayer was arranged between 4.00 pm and 5.30 pm.

The mass prayer was organized as part of first year celebration of Ravanasamudram Kendra. Sri Nagarajan, a devotee from Kallidaikurichi started the mass prayer with Guru Vandanam. After this, Sri Vasantharajan of our Chennai Kendra spoke for around 45 minutes on Guru Mahimai. He spoke about the greatness of a Guru and quoted widely from Sri Sri Swamiji’s lectures, incidents from lives of Panduranga Bhaktas, story of Sabari from Ramayana etc., There were more than 150 devotees for the mass prayer.
After the lecture, Hare Rama was chanted for around 30 minutes. After the Nama chanting, around 8 children from Ambasamudram enacted a drama for 10 minutes extolling the importance of chanting the Nama. After the drama, two Tamil songs, composed by Sri Sri Swamiji, highlighting the importance of chanting Nama was sung by Sri Vasantharajan. The response from the devotees was really good for all the events that were organized.
The devotees were given prasadam at the end of the events. Smt. Chellamal Varadarajan and Sri Venkataraman of Ravanasamudram Kendra had made all the arrangements for these events. Sri Sabapathy of Ambasamudram Kendra, Sri Sriram of Cheranmahadevi Kendra, Sri Vijayarangan of Viravanallur Kendra had participated in these events along with devotees from their Kendras.
On 19th July, 2008, a satsangh was organized at Vasudevanallur, a place near Tenkasi. Sri Hariharan of Chennai Kendra and Sri Ramanan, caretaker of Ambasamudram Namadwaar had participated in that satsangh. Nama was chanted for around 30 minutes. After that, Sri Ramanan spoke on the importance of the Mahamantra for around 20 minutes. Later Sri Hariharan told the devotees about the origin of the Mahamantra. The audience was very receptive and keen on conducting frequent Nama chanting sessions in their village.
On 20th July, 2008, Nagara sankirtan was performed at Ambasamudram Namadwaar between 6.45 am and 7.30 am. Lord Premika Varadan’s photo was taken in a procession through the streets within the proximity of Namadwaar. Around 10 devotees participated in this Nagara sankirtan.

Later another Nagara sankirtan was organized at Cheranmahadevi town between 8.15 am and 9.30 am. The Nagara sankirtan started from Sri Venkatachalapathy temple. Lord Premika Varadan’s photo was taken in a procession through the main streets of town, temples and ended at the temple. Sri Vasantharajan of our Chennai Kendra spoke on the importance of Nama with respect to our day-to-day life and quoted few incidents from Sri Sri Swamiji’s lectures and our scriptures. There were around 40 devotees. The program concluded with distribution of prasadam.

Sri Sriram of Cheranmahadevi Kendra had organized the Nagara sankirtan. There were some devotees from VK Puram Kendra and Ambasamudram Kendra for this Nagara sankirtan.
With the blessings of Sri Sri Swamiji, a Namadwaar was opened in the town of Ambasamudram, Tirunelveli district on Sunday, 22nd June, 2008. More than 200 devotees attended the function on Sunday which was held between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
Sri Sri Swamiji’s photograph and a portrai of Sri Madhuri Sakhi sameta Sri Premika Varadan were decorated in the newly established Nama Dwaar building. Smt. Chellamal Varadarajan of Ravanasamudram Kendra lighted the Kuthuvillaku at 3.30 pm to mark the auspicious beginning. This was followed by mass chanting of Hare Rama Mahamantra for around 20 minutes. Then Sri Vasantharajan of our Chennai Kendra gave a lecture for around 30 minutes highlighting the concept of Namadwaar, importance of chanting the Mahamantra etc., and quoted from Sri Sri Swamiji’s lectures. Sri Srikanth of our Chennai Kendra narrated a story highlighting the importance of Nama Sankirtan.
Then Smt. Kanchana Nehru Prakash of Tuticorin Kendra spoke for around 10 minutes. She told how the Namadwaar in Tuticorin was functioning and the activities carried out there. Then Sri Kathiresan of Tuticorin Kendra briefly spoke on the importance of having Namadwaars across the country.
This was followed by a grand Nagara Sankirtan which went on for about 40 minutes. The procession started from the Namadwaar and circumambulated Sri Krishnan Koil, where our first Kendra in Ambasamudram was started around 5 years back. Sri Sri Swamiji’s decorated photograph was taken in procession during the Nagara Sankirtan, which went through the town’s main bus stand and some important roads and culminated at the Namadwaar. There was good response from the onlookers on the main roads and they also chanted the Mahamantra.
After the Nagara sankirtan, Nama was chanted for around 10 minutes. The event came to a close with a grand mangala harathi for Sri Sri Swamiji and Sri Premika Varadan.
Prasadam was distributed for to the participants.
All the devotees were very happy about opening a Namadwaar at Ambasamudram and remarked that it was their good fortune that Ambasamudram has been chosen as one of Namadwaars. They also said that they would take all efforts to see that more Namadwaars are opened around Ambasamudram.
Sri Ramanan, Sri Kumar and Sri Sabapathy of Ambasamudram Kendra, Sri Sriram of Cheranmahadevi Kendra, Sri Murugesan of VK Puram Kendra, Sri Raman of Viravanallur Kendra, Sri Venkataraman and Smt Chellamal Varadarajan of Ravanasamduram Kendra helped in the successful launch of the Nama Dwaar.
