Sri Ramanujamji has been giving Bhagavatam satsangs in the Ernakulam Namadwaar for about a month. ¬†As a culmination, a discourse on “Vamana Avatar” was given on Thursday, the 8th April.

About 50 devotees attended the lecture.

Nagarasankirtan was conducted at Ernakulam Namadwaar in the morning of Sunday, the 14th of March 2010. The nagarasankirtan started from Namadwaar and went through some of the main streets surrounding the Namadwaar.

Around 20 devotees participated in the Nagarasankirtan. Dr. Vasu, in charge of the Namadwaar led the nagarasankirtan.

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Jayanthi was celebrated in a grand manner at our Ernakulam Namadwaar on 10th March 2009. More than 50 devotees participated in the Mahamantra chanting with great devotion and sincerity.

Mahamantra was chanted for quite some time at the Namadwaar.

On 8th March 2009, a Sampoorna Narayaneeya parayanam was conducted at Ernakulam Namadwaar. More than 35 devotees attended the function. It was really a grand function.

In between the function, at frequent intervals,   the purpose of Namadwaar was told to the devotees and they have all have informed that they would visit the Namadwaar regularly. After the function prasadam was distributed to all the devotees.

A Narayaneeyam chanting group invited Dr.Vasu to speak about the importance of Nama chanting on 15th February 2009. The venue was in Palarivattom, a place in Ernakulam City. Dr.Vasu spoke about importance of Nama chanting for half an hour. The Narayaneeyam recital started with Mahamantra chanting for 10 minutes and at the end also Nama was chanted for 10 minutes. More than 30 devotees attended the function.

On 19th February 2009, Nama chanting was conducted in one of the residences near Namadwaar where Dr.Vasu spoke about the Nama Mahimai for half an hour and Nama was chanted for half an hour. More than 20 devotees attended the function.

On 1st of March 2009, Nama chanting was done in another house where more than 25 devotees attended the chanting. There also Dr.Vasu spoke about the importance of Nama, quoting widely about Narayana Bhattathiri and Poondanam etc. He spoke for half an hour and Nama was chanted for one hour.

A Namadwaar was opened in the city of Ernakulam, Kerala. The inaugural function took place on 25th January 2009. The function started after 4.00 pm in the evening and came to a close at 9.00 pm in the night. Around 50 people attended the function. The function started with lighting of the “VILAKKU” by our Satsang member Smt Geetha Sethuraman along with other 4 local lady devotees. Immediately after that our Satsang member Sri Sethuraman welcomed the gathering and informed the importance of chanting Bhagavan Nama and also the aim and purpose of Namadwaar. He spoke on the vision of our beloved Sri Sri Swamiji in particular and also about the various Namadwaars already functioning at other places.


Then Sri Hari, who is a scholar in Srimad Bhagavatham spoke about the importance of Nama chanting in the Kaliyuga quoting from Srimad Bhagavatham. After that Sri Ramachandran who is also a Bhagavathar, working in BPCL as General Manager spoke about the importance of Nama chanting quoting from Srimad Bhagavatham, Sri Sri Swamiji and appreciated the motive behind opening of Namadwaar.


Then Dr Vasu, who is in charge of Namadwaar, gave of the vote of thanks and he spoke very well about the aim of Namadwaar and also the future functioning in the days to come. He quoted beautifully from Srimad Bhagavatham. After that a sampradaya Bhajan was performed till 9.00 pm by Sri Ramachandran along with his set of bhagavathas. After that Dr Vasu performed the Deeparadana. Then Smt Geetha Sethuraman and Smt Raji, a local devotee, took Mangala Araathi.
