On the occasion of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Jayanthi celebration, Nama chanting was done between 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sri Sundara Anjaneya Swamy Temple – Kalkere Village, Bangalore on 28th February 2010.

Over 200 people participated in the chanting. The atmosphere was reverberating with the Nama for 4 hours. The sculpture of Sri Mahaprabhu and Sri Nityananda, handmade by Sri Babu, a devotee of Sri Sri Swamiji,  resembled the divine presence of the Lord amidst us.

Nama Chanting concluded with satsangh members rendering “Kaliyayum Balikollum” and “Anjaneya Ram”. All the devotees were served prasadam thereafter.



Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s jayanthi was celebrated in Singapore with Akhandanama kirtanam from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on 27th February 2010, at the residence of Sri Narayanan/Archana.
On the 28th, chanting was done at Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple for one hour, which was attended by about forty participants.
By the grace of Mahaprabhu and Sri Sri Swamiji, Mahamantra is being chanted a few times regularly during the temple’s mass prayer on Saturdays. About 100 devotees, mostly local Singaporeans attend this session.

With the Divine Blessings of Sri Sri  Swamiji, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s Jayanthi was celebrated by Avadi satsang on the 28th February 2010 at MURALI KRISHNA MANDIR, OCF ROAD, AVADI, CHENNAI – 54 with Hare Rama Akhandanama from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm. Around 80 devotees had gathered and chanted the Mahamantra happily.  Mahila Mandali of Avadi satsang (Especially Gandhi Nagar, Pudu Nagar and Bharathiyar Nagar satsangs) were actively involved in arranging Maha prasadams about 100 devotees.  All the children of Avadi Kendra cheerfully chanted Mahamantra. At the end of the chanting,
Sri Kovoor Shanmugam spoke on the Bhakthi of  Mahaprabhu for 30 minutes and the programme ended with Sri Sri Swamiji’s kirtan for which young children of Avadi Kendra beautifully danced. Sri Shanmugham and Sri Sivakumar of Avadi satsang had coordinated for this event.

Both the School had students from class I-VII participate in the session. Greatness of chanting the Mahamantra was highlighted with a storyline for easy understanding of all the students. About 300 students from the HAL School and 40 students from Government Higher Primary Tamizh School attended the session. Smt. Vijayalakshmi and Smt. Chandra delivered the lectures. Both the schools appreciated the work done by GOD in motivating the children.

Guest lecture highlighting the greatness of Mahamantra was delivered in DEVANI AMMAL TAMIZH SCHOOL, HAL II stage, Bangalore. About 150 students participated in the program. Smt. Kanchana delivered the motivational lecture to the students. Special mention is to be made of the headmistress of the Tamizh School Mrs. Mary, who promised to include chanting of the Mahamantra daily in the school assembly.

Motivational lecture and Mahamantra prayers were conducted for the class X students of AMBEDKAR HIGH SCHOOL, KODIHALLI, Bangalore. About 40 students attended the session. Smt. Kanchana delivered the lecture which was well received and highly appreciated by the school administrators.

Motivational lecture and Mahamantra prayers were conducted for the class X students of SEEMA ENGLISH SCHOOL, KORAMANGALA. A batch of 80 students attended the session. The school management has promised to include the Mahamantra in their school assembly, and also print the Mahamantra in all the model question papers of the students for their benefit.
Smt. Kanchana delivered the motivational lecture which was enjoyed by every student in the session.  Smt. Vijayalakshmi and Smt. Bhuvana, participated in conducting the session.

Name of the institution: S.V.E.S ENGLISH SCHOOL, RAJAJINAGAR
A motivational lecture and Mahamantra prayer session was conducted for class IX and X students of S.V.E.S ENGLISH SCHOOL, RAJAJINAGAR. Over 80 students were present for this session. Sri. Gurumurthy inspired the students with an interactive lecture making the whole atmosphere lively. All the students and the faculty were deeply involved in the whole session which culminated with chanting of the Mahamantra.

Occasion: Upanayanam of Chi. Prateek.
On the auspicious occasion of the Upanayanam of Chi Prateek – 7 yrs old, (Son of Mr. & Mrs. Ayyappan from Rajarajeshwari Nagar – Banglore) GOD members – Sri. Sridhar, Smt Rajani Sridhar, Smt. Vijayalakshmi, Smt. Chandra who were invited for the “Upanayanam”, used the opportunity to extol the virtues of ‘Nama Chanting” and chanted for about 30 minutes before the “Brahmopadesam” for the kid. In fact, “Brahmopadesam” was done amidst chanting of the “Mahamantra”.
The atmosphere was charged with many people joining the chorus, chanting the “Nama”.  Parents of the Kid were overjoyed by the selfless service of GOD members in propagating “Rama Nama”. One of the attendees of this function was very impressed and asked GOD members to have “Nama chanting” even on her Son’s upanayanam to be held shortly.

Location: Lioness Club –Padmanabha Nagar – Bangalore
In the program at Lioness Club Annual meet held in Bangalore, GOD members were given permission to put up a stall for display of Hand Made dolls made by Smt. Rajani Sridhar / Sri. Sridhar. Exquisite dolls of Radha/Krishna, Dancing dolls, Barbie dolls, Meera, Rama Pattabhisheka, in different styles of dress and ornamentation were exhibited. GOD members explained the objective of the GOD organization, our mission and the cause behind the sales of such handmade dolls. The Goodwill earned for the mission and propagation of GOD activities were a major take away from this exhibition apart from nominal collection through sale of dolls.

On the 15th February, Poornimaji attended an ‘Interfaith Get-together on Awakening Inner Peace for Harmony in Society” organised by the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya in Chennai About 20 religious leaders belonging to various faiths like Roman Catholicism, Protestant, Islam, sikhism, buddhism and Jainism participated in the event. Poornimaji represented GOD.
In her talk, she beautifully drew the audience’s attention to the global human values of acceptance and empathy which are the foundations of the Bhagavata Dharma.  The GOD preamble was in Tamil in the end.

Hare Rama akhandanama was organized at Singapore on 13th February 2010 in connection with the house warming function at a new flat of Sri Ram/Smt Ranjani. This was meant to cleanse the house of any unwanted vibrations that might prevail and instill the divine Mahamantra vibrations that would bestow a happy and peaceful living.
