GOD India Satsang

A Satsang was conducted at Sri Varadaraja Perumal Koil, Cuddalore as part of the Brahmothsavam function of the temple. Sri Veeraraghavan K L and Sri Gurumurthy Venkateswaran of GOD India participated on 19th June 2010 between 6.15 pm and 8.00 pm.

Sri Veeraraghavan spoke on “Sri Prahalad Charithram”. He described the supremacy of the child devotee of the Lord at great length and compared how Sri Prahalad is superior to other devotees.

• The Lord Himself addressed the child devotee as Mahatma in the Srimad Bhagvatam ( Nirvairaya Prashanthaya Swasuthaya Mahatmane…).
• Prahalad is kept first in the order of the foremost devotees of the Lord. ( Prahalada Narada  Parasara…..).
• Hanuman and Gopis devotion were known only after the Lord’s Avathar, whereas Prahalad’s devotion was the prime reason for the Lord’s Avathar.
• He referred the qualities of  Sri Prahalad, which was the source for the Lord’s later Avathars as He wanted to emulate the child devotee in some way or other.
• He dwelt in detail about the 9 ways of devotions prescribed by the Child devotee in spite of all kinds of hardship faced by him and explained the relevance of the Nama Kirtan in this age of Kali Yug and that’s the only source to derive all material and spiritual benefits, which was also propagated by Sri Prahalad.

He also said that all other paths like Gnana Yoga, Raja Yoga, and Karma Yoga etc., defined by the Lord could also not serve its purpose to the fullest extent. He also quoted few Alwars pasurams extolling the qualities of the Lord Sri Nrisimha and the Prahalad. The lecture was well received and more than 175 devotees participated in the satsang.
