By the compassion of Lord Krishna and the grace of the Sadguru, a Bhagavata Saptaham was organized in the Ayodhya Ashwameta Mahamantap at West Mambalam, Chennai by Janabai Trust between 21st and 27th June 2010.
The Moola Parayanam was performed at the residence of Mrs. Kalpana Iyer in the morning.  In the evening, ‘Upanyasa Tilakam’, Sri Balaji Bhagavata, discoursed at the Ayodhya Mantap between 7:00 and 9:30 pm.
Mrs. Kalpana Iyer, a devotee of Sri Swamiji, founded the Janabai Trust with the help of a few other like minded devotees of Lord Vittal to revel in satsangs and Sadhuseva.  She voluntarily undertakes to conduct such satsangs with the  blessings of Sri Swamiji.
One such noble effort is this Bhagavatha Saptaham.  The parayanam was done on all seven days between 7:00 am and Noon.  It was treat to listen (swaadu swaadu pade pade’) ,when the Shlokas were recited.  Mrs.Kalpana Iyer had made all arrangements to celebrate every moment of it  - Krishna Jananam,Rukmini Kalyanam etc.
The evening discourse of Sri Balaji Bhagavata was filled with devotion and divine passion. He dwelled deep into the core of Srimad Bhagavatam which is Krishna prema, and substantiated with the divine life stories of Parikshit, Dhruva, Prahlada, Jadabharata, Prithu, Ambareesha and Ajamila.
The focus was absolutely on Bhakti which is a golden throne for the lord to be seated, wherein Gnana and Vairagya automatically blossoms. This point was beautifully driven home by sr.Balaji by his wonderful speech.  The last day was Krishna leelas and Rukmini Kalyanam which is the Ashraya (the sole refuge) of all Bhaktas i.e Krishna rasa. The  Krishna leelas were beautifully portrayed which ended with the grand finale, Rukmini klayanam.
The entire Ayodhya mandapam was thronged with audience through out the entire saptaham.  More than 300 people attended it every day with utmost sincerity and devotion.Everybody was deeply touched by the Uniqueness of Bhagavatam and really craved to be adorned with the pearls of wisdom Bhagavatham offers us.  Sri.Srivanjiyam Muralidhara Bhagavathar of our satsang honoured Sr.Balaji,on behalf of Jnabai trust.
He commended the style and expression of Sri Balaji Bhagavata.   He also  stated that it was  Gurukripa which makes anybody talk about the greatness of the Lord.  Hence it is not just Saptaha Katha varsha but “Guru Kripa varsha” which emanated thru Sri.Balaji Bhagavata, he said.
Mrs. Kalpana Iyer and her family’s tremendous and magnificent kainkarya in coordinating the satsang with great piety and sincerity shows their unparalleled faith and regard for the Sadguru.  It is only apt that the Lord carries out through them, such noble tasks which result in “Vishwa kalyan”.
