GOD India Satsang

Sri Sri Swamiji’s Jayanthi was celebrated in a very grand fashion at Thanjavur on 29th October, 2008. Mahamantra was chanting at Madhuramurali Bhavanan between 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm in the evening. There was also an Akhandanama between 6.00 am and 6.00 pm which was held at Andal Kalyana Mandapam. Around 125 people participated in the Satsang. Annadanam was organized for all the devotees in the afternoon. The celebrations came to a close with distribution of “Prasadam” to all the devotees.

In addition to Nama chanting, some special breakfast and dinner was organized at some old age homes and orphanage. Special breakfast and biscuit packets were provided to 60 inmates of Dr. Vijaya Home for old aged.  Special dinner was served to around 80 inmates of Government Orphanage, Thanjavur. Special breakfast and dinner was served to 15 inmates of Sudar Home for mentally challenged. Special breakfast, dinner, biscuit packets and soaps were provided to around 20 inmates of Sangamam home for mentally challenged.

The whole event was ably organized by Mrs. & Mr. Ramakrishnan, Mr. N Ganapathy Subramanian and Mr. Rajagopalan of Thanjavur Satsang.
