A satsang was conducted at Sri Varadaraja Perumal Koil, Cuddalore between 7.00 pm and 8.15 pm on 29th June 2009 as part of the Brahmothsavam function of the temple. Sri Veeraraghavan and Sri Hareram of GOD India participated in it.
Sri Veeraraghavan spoke on the Power or Bhagavan Nama. He dwelt upon Nama’s superiority to all other methods in all times (not only in Kali yuga but more so specific to the Kali yuga) and it can bring Guru and Lord to us and related the same with respect to the great saint Sabari’s Moksha charitram.
He said that one should have the conviction of Gajendra and Draupadi to call upon the Lord during difficult times. Here the Lord rushed to their help in no time either physically or through any other modes. He also quoted widely from Sri Sri Swamiji’s kirtans and said that all the Gods chant the Rama Nama always.
He also said that all other paths like Gnana Yoga, Raja Yoga, and Karma Yoga etc., defined by the Lord could also not serve its purpose to the fullest extent. So the Lord finally decided to come as Guru to release one all from the bondage of life with life saving medicine of Nama. Those who don’t chant Nama are really burden to earth.
He also quoted few Alwars pasurams, anecdotes from Srimad Bhagavatham and Sri Ramayana Slokas as well. The lecture was well received and more than 120 devotees participated in the satsang.
