Hanuman Jayanthi (2nd year celebrations) was celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Sundara Anjeneya temple at Kalkere, Bangalore on the 29th and 30th November 2009.
The programme commenced with Ganapathy Homa and Anjeneya  Moola Mantra Homa at 10 am. and concluded with the poornahathi , The chanting of the Vedas were reverberating in the air for a long time.  Mahaprasadam was then distributed to all totaling nearly 800 devotees.
During forenoon the devotees had the good fortune of hearing to few of the Chennai satsang devotees of our Sri Sri Swamiji spelling out their experience on the Grace that they had, on their association with Sri Sri Swamiji.  This had everyone awe stuck in silence with tears in their eyes, thus bringing each one’s memories down the lane. Needless to mention the passing of time went unrealized.
The evening programme was Abhanga Bhajan by Vishwa Varakari Pariwar, where about 15 children in the age group of 5 to 15 yrs. sang and each child narrated instances very beautifully, how one could bring Lord Vittala into one’s everyday life in their own sweet and simple and innocent way. The programme by these children was a treat to both eyes and ears.
On the 30th November, the day began with Mahabhishekam to Lord Sundara Anjeneya at 10.00 am. The Lord looked radiant with the silver kavacha all over with a yellow garland flowing down and a big vada mala. The whole crowd of about more than 2000 devotees gathered and participated in the singing of the Mahamantra during Alankara after which the Maha mangala harathi was performed. This was followed by Maha prasadam distribution to more than 1800 people
The temple opened by 4.30 pm and there was immediate inflow of devotees.  The Procession of the Utsava Moorthi was taken around the streets at 7 pm  with the singing and dancing of the Mahamantra and bursting of crackers. There were more than 4000 devotees who came to seek the blessing of Lord Hanumani in the evening alone.
The function came to an end with the chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa  and Anjeneya Ram kirtan by Sri Sri Swamiji.
