The Tuticorin (Nama Muthu Nagar) Namadwaar is located in the heart of the city near the railway station. It was started on 1st January, 2008, which serves as a unique spiritual powerhouse for all of Tuticorin and surrounding places like Eral , Sivathaiyapuram , Pudukottai , Puthiamuthur , Thalamuthu Nagar etc., Devotees from far and near, visit this Namadwaar and place their prayers.
The shrine of the Namadwaar has the Divine Padukas of H H Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji. Nama Kirtan happens for 12 hours every day. Prabodhanam, Dolotsav, Harathi are the other services rendered here. Nagara Kirtan happens on first of every Tamil month around the Sivan Kovil premise,further it is also performed on first of every English month around the New Colony Vinayagar Kovil premise.For every Ekadesi’s, nagara sankirtan occurs at Mattakadai .Moreover, on first Friday of every month nagara kirtan is performed at Ceylon Colony and of course, at Namadwaar too.
With the overwhelming support from the devotees of Tuticorin and by the selfless hard efforts from Sri.Kathiresanji and his family members, the new beautiful shrine for Namadwaar constructed and offered for public worship on 13/2/2011. Sri Sri Swamiji inaugurated the namadwaar and installed divine couples Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sameda Sri Premikavaradan Takuji.
The Namadwaar is open for the public between 6.00 am to 6.30 pm on all days of the week. During special celebrations / festivals, the Namadwaar is open for a longer duration. Timings on such days will be posted on the website.

Feed the Poor
‘Annadhaanam’ happens on all Mondays and Thursdays of every week and on special occasions.
Educate a Child
Poor school students are given compliments, notebooks and pencils etc., periodically at schools.
Once in every month and on special occassions, Akhandanama is being conducted at the devotees house as per their wish between 6.00 am in the morning and 6.00 pm in the evening.
